How the allowances are spent
A notice, then its checklist
Reading a notice with eight attachments is one document review. Its compliance checklist is part of the same review, so 1 of Essential's 5 for the month, whichever of the two comes first.
A notice with 40 attachments
A standard review reads the first 15, for one review. On a paid plan it can be read further instead, up to 30 attachments and 1,000,000 characters, for 2 or 3 reviews, and the number is shown and agreed before anything is spent. Attachments past the 30th are not read either way.
What costs nothing
Opening a review your team already has, a notice whose attachments cannot be read, such as scans with no text, and searching the words as typed. Questions to the AI Bid Assistant count as assistant use, never as document reviews.
What the reading is worth to you
Put in your own numbers. The hours are your estimate, not ours: we have not measured how long InstantSam saves, and it differs from a ten page request for quotation to a four hundred page RFP.

Reading 4 solicitations a month, each with its compliance checklist, uses 4 document reviews. Essential, for one person, includes 5 a month for $29.99 a month. At 4 a month that is about $7.50 each, or $6.00 each if you read all 5.

What you are actually paying for
Every contract-alert tool tells you an opportunity exists, which is why browsing is free here. The hard part is the attachments: the Statement of Work, the submission instructions, the evaluation criteria, hundreds of pages that decide whether you win, and whether you should bid at all. Essential and Professional open the first fifteen attachments on a notice, read up to 150,000 characters of each and 400,000 in all, and hand you back a compliance checklist of the requirements that decide whether your bid is accepted. Professional adds what a capture team would research before bidding: who buys this, who keeps winning it, what it paid, and whether you could win it. Premier is the version where your whole company works off one list of pursuits instead of forwarding screenshots.
What is the difference between Essential and Professional?
Essential is the reading: 5 document reviews a month, each with its compliance checklist, plus the proposal outline, the submission package, alerts, amendment watch, the fit assessment, price to win and reports. Professional raises that to 15 document reviews a month, adds the market intelligence from award search to forecasts, and drafts 5 proposals a month.
Can I cancel?
Any time. On this website, cancel from your account page. In the iPhone app, cancel in your iPhone's Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions. You keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for, then drop back to Free. Nothing is deleted.
Can I pay yearly?
Yes, on this website. Essential is $24.99 a month billed yearly, $299.88 once a year, 16% less than paying monthly. Professional is $59.99 a month billed yearly, $719.88 once a year. Premier is $149.99 a month billed yearly, $1,799.88 once a year. Both are 14% less than paying monthly. A yearly plan renews every year until you cancel, and we email you before it does. Apart from the seven day refund on a first charge, the unused part of a year is not refunded.
What counts against the monthly reviews?
A solicitation counts once: its document review and its compliance checklist share one spend, whichever you build first. A Sources Sought draft counts once. A very large notice read whole uses 2 or 3, and you agree to the number first. The monthly count is 5 on Essential, 15 on Professional and 40 on Premier, shared by the team. Proposal drafts have their own allowance: 5 a month on Professional, 13 on Premier, none on Essential, each with 3 section redrafts. The AI Bid Assistant is 25 uses a month on Essential, 25 on Professional and 63 on Premier, shared by the team, and plain English search is 300, 1,000 and 2,500. A question, a notice summary, a set of questions for the contracting officer and a proposal outline each use one assistant use. The limits are also in the billing terms. When a counter runs out, everything else keeps working.
What is the introductory price?
A first monthly subscription pays less for its first two months: Essential $19.99 a month instead of $29.99, Professional $49.99 instead of $69.99, and Premier $124.99 instead of $174.99. From the third month the regular price applies until you cancel. It is for a first subscription only, and yearly plans have no introductory price. If you subscribed before 12 October 2026, you keep the price you signed up at.
How do seats work?
Premier includes 5 seats. Invite colleagues by email from your team page; each signs in with their own account and sees the team's pursuits. If somebody leaves, remove them in one click and their work stays with the team. Your team can also sign in through your company's Okta, Microsoft Entra or Google Workspace, which we set up with your IT team. Need more than 5 seats? Email us for a team quote.
Is the opportunity data complete?
It comes straight from the official sources. SAM.gov and Grants.gov are read every hour. DoD SBIR and STTR topics, DLA DIBBS and the eight state and local portals are read once a day. Award history comes from USASpending.gov.
